Slot Glossary
34 terms covering Chicken Coin's Hold & Win mechanic, 777 Wild substitution, three Bonus Buy tiers, and Chicken Boost path to 1,000x.
Autoplay
Spin the reels automatically for a set number of rounds. Pick how many spins and optional stop conditions (stop on bonus trigger, stop on balance threshold). Useful for grinding through base game while waiting for the Chicken Coin trigger.
Base Game
Regular gameplay before the Hold & Win round triggers. Most spins happen here. Chicken Coin pays through 8 fixed paylines with 777 Wilds substituting for paying symbols. High volatility means base returns are modest — the real money sits in the Hold & Win.
Bonus Buy (Feature Buy)
Skip the base game and jump straight into Hold & Win. Chicken Coin ships three buy tiers: Standard at 75x, Mid at 200x (upgraded starting coin values), and Ultimate Strike at 300x (guaranteed Super Chicken Coin and Chicken Boost). UK players have buy access blocked.
Cascading Reels (Tumble)
After a win, winning symbols disappear and new ones fall. Chicken Coin doesn't use cascades — wins resolve once per spin. The replay action comes from the Hold & Win counter resetting on every fresh Chicken Coin landing during respins.
Cluster Pays
Chicken Coin uses 8 fixed paylines, not clusters. Cluster pays would require connected matching-symbol groups. InOut Games kept the line format because it suits the retro 777 aesthetic and produces predictable hit frequencies.
Dead Spin
A spin that returns absolutely nothing. Chicken Coin's high volatility means dead spin runs of 30-50 are normal. The Hold & Win trigger probability sits around 1 in 200 base spins, so dry stretches are the price of the bonus payout potential.
Feature Trigger Rate
How often a bonus feature activates. Chicken Coin's Hold & Win triggers at roughly 1 in 200 base spins. Bonus Buy bypasses this entirely. The 300x Ultimate Strike guarantees the Super Chicken Coin variant — effectively the rarest natural trigger condition packaged as a buy.
Free Spins
Bonus rounds triggered by 6+ Chicken Coin symbols on a single spin. Chicken Coin doesn't run traditional Free Spins — instead the trigger activates Hold & Win Respins. You start with 3 respins, every fresh coin resets the counter to 3, and the round ends when respins run out or the grid fills.
Hit Frequency
How often a slot lands any winning combination. Chicken Coin has a hit frequency around 25-28% — about 1 in 4 spins pays something through paylines. The 777 Wild boost contributes meaningfully here; without it the rate would drop into the lower 20s.
Max Win
The absolute maximum a slot can pay on a single spin or feature. Chicken Coin caps at 1,000x — modest by modern slot standards but reachable through the Chicken King Jackpot when all 15 grid positions fill with coins during Hold & Win. Estimated probability: 1 in 3,500 Hold & Win triggers.
Max Win Cap
The absolute cap on a single round's payout. Once Chicken Coin hits 1,000x, the round ends immediately. The 1,000x Chicken King Jackpot is a flat fixed payout — once awarded, your remaining respins forfeit. The cap protects InOut Games' liability on the Hold & Win grid-fill outcome.
Megaways
A Big Time Gaming licensed mechanic with up to 117,649 ways to win. Chicken Coin uses 8 Fixed on a 5×3 grid — fixed paylines, not Megaways. InOut Games has its own Hold & Win design rather than licensing BTG's variable-symbol math.
Multiplier
A value that multiplies your win. Chicken Coin's coin values function as multipliers — locked Chicken Coins display values from 1x to 25x stake. Standard buys keep this range; the 200x buy tier upgrades starting coin values, and Ultimate Strike unlocks the Super Chicken Coin with even higher base multipliers.
Paylines
Predefined lines across the reels where matching symbols form a win. Chicken Coin runs on 8 Fixed on a 5×3 grid. All 8 lines are always active — you can't reduce the count. Lines pay left-to-right starting from reel 1.
Paytable
The reference chart showing each symbol's payout for matching combinations. Access through the game's info menu. Chicken Coin's premium symbols (chickens, farm icons) pay the most; lower-pay symbols (card royals A/K/Q/J/10) fill out the bottom. Coins are special — they only pay during Hold & Win, not paylines.
RNG (Random Number Generator)
The cryptographic algorithm determining every spin outcome. InOut Games uses GLI-certified RNGs — independently audited. Each spin in Chicken Coin is independent of the last; previous results have zero influence on future spins. The "due for a Hold & Win" feeling is gambler's fallacy.
RTP (Return to Player)
The theoretical percentage of wagered money returned over millions of spins. Chicken Coin runs at 96.5% — slightly above industry average. Some operators ship lower RTP variants (94.5%, 92.5%); always verify the exact percentage in the game info screen. Bonus Buy maintains similar RTP to base game.
Scatter
A special symbol that triggers features regardless of payline position. Chicken Coin uses Chicken Coin symbols that function as Hold & Win triggers when 6+ land on a single spin. Coins can land on any reel, no payline restriction. Bonus Buy bypasses scatter requirement.
Session Variance
The gap between actual results and theoretical RTP. Chicken Coin has 96.5% RTP, but a 200-spin session can return anywhere from 30% to 250% of your wager. Without a Hold & Win trigger, sessions stay below RTP; with one or two triggers, you finish well ahead. The 1 in 200 trigger rate makes sessions feel binary.
Sticky Wild
A Wild symbol that stays in place across multiple spins. Chicken Coin's 777 Wild is technically sticky during Hold & Win Respins — once locked, it auto-locks adjacent coins, chaining new locks and resetting respin counters. Mid-round 777 landings can drag a fading bonus back to full value.
Volatility (Variance)
How a slot's payouts are distributed. Chicken Coin is rated High — meaning rare but meaningful wins, with long stretches between Hold & Win triggers. Most session profit comes from a single triggered round; without one, sessions track below RTP. Budget accordingly.
Ways to Win
An alternative to paylines where matching adjacent-reel symbols count as wins regardless of row. Chicken Coin uses 8 Fixed — fixed paylines, not ways-to-win. InOut Games kept the simpler 8-line format because the Hold & Win mechanic provides the math complexity, not the base-game payline count.
Wild
A symbol substituting for any regular symbol to complete winning combinations. Chicken Coin's primary Wild is the 777 retro fruit-machine reference, substituting for paying symbols across the 8 paylines. It won't replace Chicken Coins or Bonus Coins. During Hold & Win respins it lands as a stationary Wild that auto-locks adjacent coins.
Win Distribution
How total payouts are spread across different win sizes. High-volatility slots like Chicken Coin are top-heavy — Hold & Win Respins account for ~70% of total RTP contribution while base game pays ~25%. The remaining 5% comes from rare Chicken King Jackpot grid-fills.
Bonus Buy Restrictions
Some countries ban purchasing bonus rounds. The UK prohibits bonus buy since October 2021. Sweden caps bet sizes during buys. Chicken Coin's three buy options may be greyed out depending on your jurisdiction. Where available, all three tiers maintain consistent RTP with base game.
Chicken Coin Trigger
Chicken Coin's Hold & Win activator. Six or more Chicken Coin symbols landing on a single base spin trigger the Hold & Win round. The trigger is reasonably rare — ~1 in 200 base spins on average. Each Chicken Coin reveals a cash value (1x to 25x stake) when locked during the bonus round.
Cash Coin Values (1x-25x)
Each Chicken Coin that locks during the Hold & Win round in Chicken Coin reveals a payout value between 1x and 25x your stake. Standard mode uses this full range. The 200x Bonus Buy tier shifts the distribution toward higher values, and the 300x Ultimate Strike unlocks the Super Chicken Coin with even higher base multipliers.
777 Wild Symbol
Chicken Coin's Wild symbol, styled as a retro fruit-machine triple seven. In base game it substitutes for all paying symbols across 8 paylines. During Hold & Win respins it transforms into a stationary Wild that auto-locks adjacent coins, chaining new locks and triggering counter resets. The dual-mode 777 is the slot's signature mechanic.
Hold & Win Counter Reset
A core Hold & Win mechanic. Chicken Coin starts the bonus round with 3 respins. Every time a fresh Chicken Coin lands during respins, the counter resets back to 3 — extending the round potentially indefinitely. The round only ends when an entire respin completes with zero new coins, or the grid fills for the Chicken King Jackpot.
Chicken King Jackpot
Chicken Coin's 1,000x flat-rate jackpot. Awarded when every position in the 15-cell grid fills with Chicken Coins during a single Hold & Win round. Probability: ~1 in 3,500 Hold & Win triggers — extremely rare but the math is fixed. Once the grid fills, the round ends immediately and the 1,000x pays out regardless of remaining respins.
Three Bonus Buy Tiers (75x / 200x / 300x)
Chicken Coin ships three Bonus Buy options matching different risk profiles. Standard at 75x plays a normal trigger. Mid at 200x upgrades starting coin values for higher expected payout. Ultimate Strike at 300x guarantees a Super Chicken Coin plus Chicken Boost activation — the only path to the 1,000x cap with reasonable probability.
Ultimate Strike (300x Buy)
Chicken Coin's premium Bonus Buy at 300x stake. Activates two effects: guaranteed Super Chicken Coin landing and the Chicken Boost Feature. The Super Chicken Coin carries boosted values that grow during respins. Chicken Boost roughly doubles coin frequency. Together they push expected return high enough to make 300x cost worthwhile per the math.
Super Chicken Coin
A boosted variant of the standard Chicken Coin in Chicken Coin. Available only via the 300x Ultimate Strike Bonus Buy. Carries higher starting cash values (15x to 50x stake versus standard 1x-25x) and grows during respins as adjacent coins land. The Super Chicken Coin is the primary mechanic enabling the 1,000x max win threshold.
Chicken Boost Feature
Chicken Coin's frequency-multiplier feature, activated through the 300x Ultimate Strike Bonus Buy. Roughly doubles the rate at which fresh Chicken Coins land during respins — a session that would have produced 8 locks instead produces 14 to 18. The boost is what makes the 1,000x grid-fill outcome plausible from the 300x buy entry.
